Over his career he has guided anglers on open water and ice, sold boats, hosted TV programs, written for magazines and newspapers, written his own book, hosted radio, tournament fished, developed products and now is a podcaster.

Introduced to the business side of the industry thru legendary anglers Gary Roach and Dave Hanson Capt. Ross traveled the In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail with some of the original legends in the sport watching modern walleye fishing gear and tactics develop right in front of him. He has worked with some of the most influential anglers in walleye fishing including Al Lindner, Ron Lindner, Dave Csanda, Tom Keenan, Brett King, Mike Gofron, Mark Brumbaugh, Joe Okada, John Gillman and many more.
